If for no other reason than to entertain myself a new Blog has been born. The plan is not to post too frequently but of course that could quite easily change over time.

This is really a prep for a journey that will start, or better said, continue next week. We are off to Utah, Colorado and Arizona from our rented home in Palm Desert. This is a repeat of a trip we made more than 25 years ago when we left Dallas Texas, drove about 4000 miles in an old Winnebago with 5 kids. The first journey was great but I suspect this one will be a little less stressful!

From Palm Desert (CA), up to Saint George in Utah for the first leg. Couple of nights there to visit Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park. The idea is then to make a very large loop that will take us to some of the most incredible desert landscapes that have long been the feature of countless westerns. In describing the trip I will also try to show as many of the sights that we will encounter on the way. As one can but imagine, we have our fingers crossed with regard to the weather. It seems that it was snowing yesterday in Bryce Canyon! But whatever the elements bring, we are looking forward to the trip. The other important objective is to understand and learn how to use the technology of the blogosphere. We shall see how it all transpires.
